With expectation of cooperation to achieve socio-economic development objectives of the city as well as enterprises by attracting foreign investment, supporting Korean investors and enterprises invested in Hai Phong, on July 11th at the city convention center, the municipal People's committee and the Export-Import Bank of Korea (Korea Eximbank) held the signing ceremony of the MOU on cooperation to promote Korean enterprises in Hai Phong.
Whereby, the signing of the MOU between Haiphong and Korea Eximbank will continue to open advantages and new cooperation in many areas which are mutually interested in by both, especially financial funding for Korean enterprises which have been and will be investing for businesses in Hai Phong in the coming time.
Imminently, in order to promote investment in Hai Phong, the parties will exchange information, plans, programs and most effectively cooperative fields as well as organize mission delegations to promote investment in Korea, or conferences, meetings in Hai Phong. The parties also set out common principles for future financial cooperation to maximize the benefits by providing opportunities for investors.
Said at the signing ceremony, the deputy chairman of the municipal People's Committee Le Khac Nam acknowledged and highly appreciated effective supports of Korea Eximbank who has been contributing significantly to the socio-economic development of Vietnam commonly as well as of Haiphong particularly through supports of ODA from Eximbank for the construction projects of Hai Phong maternity hospital and Hai Phong general hospital. The signing of the MOU is also one of significant activities, contributing to the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-South Korea friendship. The deputy chairman of the municipal People's Committee Le Khac Nam believes that the signed MOU will promote investment attraction, support to investors and Korean invested enterprises in Hai Phong, also it would be leverage for successes of Korean enterprises operating in Hai Phong.
