Since beginning of the year, IPI of the city remained high growth continuously year-on-year, only in May, the IPI was estimated to increase 11.5% compared with that of Apr and 23% compared with the same period of last year.
In general, for the first 5 months of 2017, it is estimated to increase by 20.5% more than that of the same period last year.
Classified based on groups of growth rate, it shows that there are 28 economic sectors having IPI increased year-on-year. In particular, some sectors have high growth rates as uniform garment with rate increased over 20.1%, home electric appliance production with rate grown by over 14%, rubber tire and tube manufacturing increased more than 90%; fertilizer production increased by over 53%; civilian electronics industry up over 49% ...
In the time to come, the industry and trade of Hai Phong should concentrate on directing relative authorities to apply countermeasures to remove difficulties and help those to improve production as well as expanding markets, especially supply of electricity for productions and key projects; To continue implementing argriculture-promotion programs and projects and e-commerce development in the city; strongly promoting implementation of the program "Enhancing export competitiveness for small and medium scaled enterprises in Vietnam through local trade promotion system".
