The deputy Chairman of the municipal People’s committee Le Thanh Son has just had a courtesy meeting with Mr. Lee Dong Min, chief representative of Korean Air in Ha Noi regarding setting up the international flight route between Hai Phong and Korea.
Spoke at the meeting, the deputy Chairman of the municipal People’s committee Le Thanh Son supposed that the airway market between Vietnam and Korea would be so potential in the coming time, opening more flight route between Hai Phong and Korea would be necessary, it is not only responding to travelling need between two localities but also facilitating to tourism development, combining of all seaway, highway, railways, airway to promote logistics … The deputy Chairman stressed that for tourism of Hai Phong, Korean visitors have occupied large portion in the number of international visits to Hai Phong recently, it is also the key portion of visitors to the city.
On behalf of Korean Air, Mr. Lee Dong Min appreciated Hai Phong to for the receipt and useful information to refer to for the report to the headquarter regarding the feasibilities of setting up Hai Phong – Korea flight route. He expected to receive further supports from the city and hope that Hai Phong – Korea flight route would be opened soon, serving travelling need between two localities.
From Dec 12th, Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (Viethjet Air) officially operates Hai Phong – Incheon flight route with frequency of 4 flights per week. So far, the route has been evaluated as a most efficient route that Vietjet Air has been exploiting at Cat Bi International Airport.
