The deputy chairman of the municipal People’s committee Le Thanh Son has had a courtesy receipt with Mr. Isaji Naoki, the coordinator of the program for volunteers of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Vietnam and Mr. Muto Tadashi, a senior volunteer of JICA to be recommended to work in Hai Phong.

At the meeting, the deputy chairman of the municipal People’s committee Le Thanh Son highly appreciated the relationship and cooperation between Hai Phong with Japan commonly and with JICA particularly; and present the socio-economic development of the city as well. Currently Japanese investors are at the top position regarding the number of projects and at the second position for invested amount in Hai Phong. The city has been promoting to set up the flight route between Cat Bi international airport to localities of Japan, making trading between Hai Phong and Japan more convenient. In the coming time, to prepare for the visit of the prime minister of Vietnam to Japan, the city is going to hold a large seminar on investment promotion which is expected to be supported by JICA with necessary assistance, especially in investment recommending and promotion for investments into Hai Phong.

Mr. Isaji Naoki and Mr. Muto Tadashi appreciated the deep and close relationship between Hai Phong and Japan which has been being upgraded higher and committed to support Hai Phong, and to contribute partly to development of the city.
